Papaya leaf powder is got from papaya leaves which are large and are got from the papaya plant (Carica papaya), a tropical tree known for its fruit.

Shape. Big, broad, and deeply divided into 7–11 pointed lobes (like a hand with spread fingers or a star shape).

Color. Vibrant dark green on top, lighter underneath.

Veins. Prominent yellow-green veins that stand out and run from the center to the edges.

Size. Usually 25–70 cm (about 10–28 inches) wide.

Special feature. When you break or crush it, a milky white sap (latex) comes out — this contains natural enzymes like papain.
